used throughout, or are there layers of different
materials? (e.g. lamination, coextrusion, or
coatings.) |
We can determine the structure including
the thickness of the layers, and show the results in
a cross-section diagram, e.g.:

In some cases, we can measure the amount of specific
additives in the material mix.
Materials analysis is done using various
techniques including:
Fourier-Transform Infra-Red Spectroscopy (Transmission
and ATR), Differential Scanning Calorimetry, chemical
tests, microscopy etc.
